11/16/06 -- "Till the well runs dry..."

Well, this one is for Murdoch. Hopefully, he will cheers some local Eastern Europeans with some pickle vodka and celebrate yet another PilotPicks winner of...West Virginia.

I like the Mountaineers -10 tonight for a many reasons. First, they are the number 2 run offense in the country going up against a team that has given up an average of 190 yards per game in their last 3. Second, the conditions are looking wet/soggy which favor a ground attack and not a passing offense (sorry Pitt). Third, Wannstedt sucks. Fourth, West Virginia is 8-1 and rebounded nicely from their only loss of the season while Pitt is 6-4 and losers of 3 straight. Fifth, Pitt has not beaten a Division 1-A school with a winning record this season (the 2 decent Division 1 teams they played at home beat them easily: Mich St by 15; Rutgers by 10). Sixth, I lied, Michigan State isn't decent and they ran for 335 yards on Pitt, while Rutgers ran for 268. Seventh, no letdown or look ahead game here as these teams hate each other and WV will want to pound Pitt. Eighth, Wannstedt sucks.
