Saturday Afternoon Post (2 of 3)

For the next batch of games I offer up two small favorites:

First, take Tex A&M -4 at home against Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State, like I said in my last post about them, are not good, yet their reputation is still getting them points when it comes to the lines. Yes, they beat Tex A&M at home earlier in the year, but on the road they are a bad team. They lost at Tex Tech...they lost at Texas by 36...hell, they even lost at Missouri by 8 and we see what kind of shape the MU program is in. Tex A&M has lost 2 home games, to KU and then to OU by 1. Not too bad. They have won every other game at home and with a number this low against an inferior team, I have to go with A&M. Oh, and to top it all off, Eddie Sutton is not going to be on the bench for Ok St. as he was in a car wreck. That means his son, Sean Sutton has to run the show. And about the little Sutton...seriously, is he drunk? Hungover? Itching to start drinking again? There is no reason a man should look that miserable (sweating, collar unbuttoned, tie down a notch...) during a BBall game. I for one am not about to put him in the same league as Hopper (from Hoosiers) and he sure as hell ain't going to sober enough to call the picket fence. Fellas, don't get caught watching the paint dry...take A&M -4 and watch them steamroll Ok St.

Texas A&M -4 (***)

Next, I offer up the Shockers -5 at Indiana State. Follow me on this one. Ind St. has lost 8 of 10. Wich St has won 8 of 10. In Ind. St's last 4 home games, they have lost to Mo St. by 22...Drake by 11...and Creighton by 16...and yet they are supposed to stay within 5 of Wichita State? Wich St. is 6-3 on the road with their only losses coming at N. Iowa, S. Ill, and Creighton...no shame in that. In their 6 road wins (when not playing the upper teams of the MVC) they have not beat a team by less than 6 points. Their average margin of victory in these games is 11. Indiana St. had a miracle win over S. Ill and then they beat Bradley last week...but come on, Wich St. is by far the better team and they will prove it with a double digits victory. Wich St. in a roll.

Wichita State -5 (**)

***Stay tuned for our final and biggest post on the night action...it will be up at 5:00pm.***
