Well, we are 3-1 because Tex A&M scored 3 points in the last 8 minutes of the game...and that includes the jumper that won the game by 2 at the end!!! Unbelievable. But, here we go with some good action for the night slate:
First, take N. Iowa -6 at home against Mo St. N. Iowa has won 5 of the last 6 meetings in this series, including a 10 point win at Mo St on January 7. Mo St. has lost 4 of their last 5 road games by an average of 12 points. N. Iowa is in first place in the MVC with Creighton and need to keep winning. Mo St. just does not have a chance in this one. N. Iowa will roll:
N. Iowa -6 (***)
Next, take Arizona State -2 at home against Oregon. Oregon is a terrible, terrible road team. They are 1-7 on the road this season (0-1 on a nuetral court)...and their only win was by 2 at Washington State when Wash St. played terribly. Oregon has lost 6 straight (going 1-5 ATS over this span) while Arizona State has won 2 of 3 covering all 3. The simple fact is that Arizona State is not a great team, but they should have enough to get it done tonight at home against a horrible road team in Oregon.
Arizona State -2 (**)
Finally, take Stanford +7 1/2 at Gonzaga. Don't look now, but Gonzaga has a gaudy record, but does not seem to blow out teams...especially good ones. They are only 4-10 ATS in therir last 14 games and just 2-8 at home!! Stanford is a team that seems to be underdogs more than they should and they are covering machines in that role. Stanford has covered their last 8 games, including their last 5 on the road. They are hot...and they should run this streak to 9 tonight. The zags are a very poor defensive team and while Morrison will get his...so will Stanford. Grab the points in this one as Stanford keeps this one easily within the number. They might even win this one outright.
Stanford +7 1/2 (****)
