Well, here it is, Pilot Picks game of the Year. We have our separate games of the year, but only once a year do we come together for one game so strong that it must be played heavy by all. Who is it you ask? Well...
Tulsa -14.
Take the Golden Hurricanes to drill, and I mean drill Tulane Saturday afternoon. First a few facts on Tulane. They are worn down playing their 10th game in their 10th different city. They are giving up an average of 6.2 yards per carry including 802 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground in the last 2 games!!! To be noted, the last two games were against Navy and Rice, not exactly Texas, USC. Another note, Rice got their first victory in over a year against Tulane AND put up 42 on them. Tulane has lost 6 straight and given up over 30 points in 5 of its last 6 games (3 of those over 40). Oh and they can't run the ball at all going for under 100 yards rushing in 4 of their last 6 games. They average only 90 yards per game yet give up over 200 per. And to add insult to injury, their punter is out after a fluke hunting accident left him with a gunshot to the stomach...nothing going their way.
Now Tulsa. This is a balanced offensive team that can run and pass effectively. They have covered 4 of their last 5 outings including their last 3 on the road. They won at S. Miss by 17, at Rice by 20 and are coming off a 45-13 rout of E. Carolina. Tulsa is still playing for second place in the West division of Conference USA and a better bowl
This game will be over by half. Pilot Picks Prediction: Tulsa 48 - Tulane 13.

So it was 38-14, not 48-13 as predicted...either way, that was one easy winner.
