SATURDAY NCAAF

nice picks by the birdman there, i feel another great weekend coming.

take auburn laying 20.5 points at mississippi state. basically i look at his game as miss state has very limtited offense. oh, and their starting qb broke his collarbone last week against south carolina and redshirt freshman tray rutland will get his first career start today. rutland did play a decent amount last week, and i guess the best thing you could say is he didnt look terrible. unless you consider 6-15 with two picks terrible. cause if you do, he might have looked terrible. south carolina does have a solid d, but let's not kid ourselves, they're not auburn. if south carolina can come in to starkeville and shout out miss state, what's a real d like the tigers going to do?

on the other side of the ball, auburn starts the season with returning starters at qb and rb. kenny irons (who, according to this guy i know, mr. wiggles, is goign to be the 1st rb taken in the draft) had a pretty decent game last week (20 carries for 183 yds, 1 TD) but qb cox was a little more restrained, throwing only 18 passes.

however, going in to today's game coach tubervillle anounced, "We have to open it up a little bit more, diversify," Tuberville said. "You can't count on running as many as we did when you get in our league, so we've got to take advantage of some other guys on the field."

sound to me like the tigers are going to try and light it up today before they play a real sec team.
