February 6, 2006 -- Big Monday

Well, For those of you who didn't tune in last week...PilotPicks is currently on a 15-3 BBALL run, up 34* in this span!!! We also were 3-0 in this span in 4* games...we just don't miss big games as we have hit over 90% of our 4*-5* games!!!

Tonight, I have a couple Big Monday matchups for you.

First, take Louisville +3 at Cinn. I am as disappointed at the way Louisville has played this season as anybody, but they are the much better team in this matchup. Lou got a much needed "w" at home, in overtime, against Notre Dame (a team that apparently ALWAYS covers as a dog) and I see Lou building on that win tonight. They already hammered Cinn earlier a couple weeks ago by 17 and while it was at home, Cinn home court is not a 17 point advantage. Cinn is on a 2-6 slide right now, and Lousiville should ride Dean to the victory tonight...I just don't get how the much better team could be getting points. Take Louisville and watch them roll to a victory in this one.

Next, take Texas -10 at Texas Tech. How is this line so low? What could these oddsmakers possibly be thinking? UT is so much better than Tex T it is not funny. Yes, I know this is a "rivalry" game, but someone needs to tell UT that as they have covered 8 of the last 10 matchups in this series. Top that off with the fact that they absolutely murdered Tex T earlier in the season (Jan 15) by 36 in a game where they were favored by 15 . Yes, Tex T has won 2 of 3, but those two wins came against MU (who has lost 5 straight by an average of 18 points) and Ok St (a bad team this season). Tex T will not be close in this one as I see UT winning by 20.
