Wednesday, January 18th B-Ball Games:

Riding a streak of 3-1-1 in the past 5 B-Ball games we have posted, we take a stab at a few more for tonight:

First, take Miami, Fl -4.
Miami is very hot right now after killing Maryland and then winning at North Carolina. It seems that they have remedied their early season troubles. Clemson however, has been alternating wins and losses, including an unacceptable loss to Elon University at home as a 21 point favorite. They also lost to a bad Virginia team. Hurricane stars Diaz and Hite both were over 20 points in each of the big ACC victories, expect them to continue their stellar play against a beatable Tiger defense, that allows over 43% shooting from the field. There might be some letdown on the part of Miami after beating Maryland and North Carolina, but there is also something to be said for a team that is hot...and this number is low enough that they could have a big letdown game and still cover. This line should be higher...take Miami in this one.

Miami -4 (**)

Next, Take Wisconsin +4 1/2
Wisconsin is a better team than Ohio State and they should not be getting any points here. In their last game, Ohio State was laying 5 points to Michigan State and they lost outright in OT.
Wisconsin beat Michigan State by 19 points. The Badgers have won 4 straight games, all in Conference play and their only two losses this year have come against Pittsburgh and Wake Forest. Wisconsin has won the last 5 in this series and their defense should definitely cause the Buckeyes into some bad shots and turnovers. Ohio State has lost two of their last three games and I look for Wisconsin to make it three out of four with a win tonight. To be safe, take the points, but don't be suprised to see Wisconsin (like NC Charlotte last night) to win straight up.

Wisconsin +4 1/2 (**)

An NBA play from murdoch for tonight has also been recently relayed in to pilotpicks hq.
Detroit has one of the top D's in the league, going up agains the miserable atlanta hawks. Sure, the hawks may average 90 ppg but they havent seen the pistons in more than a year. I'd be surpised to see them crack 80, which gives plenty of rooms for detroit to blow them out and the total still not hit.

DET/ATL UNDER 190 (**)
1H UNDER 94(-)

as a note...

LAST MEETING: April 19, 2005; Pistons, 95-68. At Atlanta, Prince and Ben Wallace scored 20 and 15 points, respectively, as Detroit cruised despite playing without Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace.

I know it's early, but whatre you guys thinking for sundays games? I really feel like both underdogs will win straight up so the 3 point spreads are looking nice.
