What a terrible push last night by S. Ill. First, they force overtime with 2 free throws and then in overtime they miss 2 straight front ends of 1-1's with a 3 point lead to allow N. Iowa to hit a game tying three with 4 seconds left. Then, in double OT, S. Ill is leading by 1 with 33 seconds left when a N. Iowa player hits a fading 3 pointer...off glass!! That is followed up by a traveling and then an airball and 4 straight free throws by N. Iowa to cap off a 7-0 run in the last 33 seconds to win by 6 and push. And how about some home ccoking for N. Iowa who attempted 38 free throws to S. Ill's 11!!! Talk about the story of the game.
But, UCONN rolled as we knew they would so it turned into a 1-0 night. Still upset that it isn't 2-0 as that S. Ill heartbreaker made me push a 3 team parley, but there is always another more games.
