This game simply comes down to one thing...coaching. SC is guided by Steve Spurrier while MU has Gary Pinkel. Before we even get to the talent of the two teams (of which MU is outclassed), this coaching mismatch must be addressed. Pinkel has embraced mediocrity like a fat man embraces fried foods. His teams are always underachievers, and this year was no different with his talented Tigers squad finishing 6-5 with some embarrassing losses. SC has turned around their program with the attitude that Spurrier brought to SC and while they don't have the talent he would like on the offensive side of the ball, their defense is pretty stout. SC won at Tenn, at ARK, and came within 2 points of winning at GEO. MU was 1-3 on the road with their only win being at Oklahoma State by 7...impressive. They lost at KU 13-3 and at K-State 36-28...not exactly juggernauts. MU can't play away from home and they will be shut down in this game. Also, I would say that Spurrier's boys hang 30 on them. Right now, betjamaica.com has the spread at SC -3 1/2 which I am going to buy down to 3. I would do the same even if the line is 4 (if you are able). Better safe than sorry.

oh, and it is a little early to be off the UCLA bandwagon as it is now 22-22 (UCLA survived 3 first quarter picks and is now tied).
should also note at 22s w/10min to go in the 2nd the over is looking strong.
