Numbers Don't Lie (Logic Will Break Your Heart)

the birdman was all about the stats, numbers and math yesterday in la tech. and what did it do for him? nothing. here's a number you need to know 5-0. i noted this a couple of weeks ago, whenever the birdman gives out a loser (i know, it rarely happens) i have always followed it up with a winner. i feel like today we have a couple of good plays on the board.

We're going to the PAC where, you might not have heard this before, UCLA plays USC. I know, shocking, didnt even know USC had a football team, but apparently their quite good.

Looking at this game I see two top 10 teams with excellent offenses, and defense with varying degrees of questions (USC - can they stop a decent team, much less an offense averaging 40 ppg/ UCLA -can they stop anyone?). This is a huge rivalry game, and even though it's a home game for USC I expect the crowd to be decently even.

In this situation, two huge rivals, with a combined record of 20-1, three TDS+ is just way too much to give up. Rivals always are going to play closer than they should and this will be just the case, and it's not like the Bruins are a bad team, some people have been saying if they beat USC today they should get the BCS bid.

However, I'm not saying UCLA will win outright, or even be competitive the entire game but with a number that high it always leaves the backdoor open (USC at Stanford) for a very potent Bruin offense.

I dont see anyway how USC doesnt get above fifty this game, even if you dont like UCLA, they'll get theirs too.

I dont normally like these plays, but it's one where maybe you throw a unit or half a unit. USC has always seemed to get in trouble the first half and then pile it on in the 2nd with a couple of quick strikes. I dont see that changing today.
