NFL Saturday

Not a great slate of games today, but I am going to give you the Chiefs +3 against the Giants and here is why: The Giants are decimated with injuries. Their two starting offensive tackles are out with injuries sustained last year. This is not good considering Eli Manning has been struggling big with blitz packages as of late. Teams have realized that if you pressure Eli, he will rush and throw picks. Well, D Coordinator, Gunther Cunningham, LOVES to blitz and will do so at will. Second, the Giants leading tackler, LB Pierce, the "soul of their defense" as described by Michael Strahan is out with an injury. This is B-A-D agaisnt a Chiefs offense that is running all over people as of late as Larry Johnson has rushed for over 600 yards in the past 4 games. Is it any coincidence that this streak occurred right when Willie Roaf came back from an injury? No, it's not, he is still one of the best O lineman in the game and the Chiefs will use the run just enough to set up a couple big plays through the air with Trent Green who has been playing very good as of late. Remember, the Chiefs are a dropped pick-6 or a blatent non-holding call or a questionable holding on 4th down or a missed field goal from winning last week at Dallas. They are mad and will win this game outright. As we will see again here today, the AFC is better than the NFC. THe Chiefs are desperate...they need to win out to get to the playoffs and while the Giants also need this game, it is not as important for them as a loss only puts them in a tie for the division lead. The hungrier, more healthy, better team wins this game on the road.

Wrong team favored in this one, take the Chiefs +3 STRAIGHT UP!!

(as a caveat, to be safe I would take the 3 points, but I really do think the Chiefs win this one, therefore, if you are taking the Chiefs +3, it is a *** game. However, Murdoch and I are putting a play on the money line as well b/c we think they win outright.)

Murdoch will have a play on the Denver-Buffalo game later today.

I have some very good plays on tomorrow's NFL games, so check back tomorrow.
