Tonight, let's be honest, this game tonight is a "dog with fleas." However, I feel that the dog in this matchup does have some bite. Take New Orleans +10 1/2 against the Falcons tonight. I know at first glance, you might think that the Falcons will roll, but I sure don't think so. The Falcons have lost 3 0f their last 4 (striaght up and ATS). Their only win in this span was against the pathetic Lions. The Falcons love to run the ball, but teams are starting to figure out that if they force them to pass, they can't. They rank 28th in passing offense and as teams are stacking the box on them as of late, they are only averaging 98 yards per game on the ground in their last 3 losses. Well, if the Saints can shut down the run, the Falcons should not have much success throwing it as New Orleans has the 3rd best pass defense in the NFL at only 172 yards per game allowed through the air. The Atlanta defense that was so good last year is giving up 30 points per game in their past three losses (the Detroit game excluded). The Saints also want a little revenge after their first meeting against the Falcons was won by ATL after the Saints were whistled for a horrible penalty on the missed field goal by ATL giving them another shot (which they hit as time expired to win 27-24). Keep in mind, Joe Horn didn't play in this game.
10 1/2 is too big a number in the NFL for a team that is not playing good...Take the Saints and watch them keep this game relatively close and under this big number.
