I am not going to stop posting on PilotPicks because some people obviously have no idea what they are doing and can't see the whole picture. A bad weekend/mediocre start to December is nothing that I am ashamed of as I know that it happens. A little research into all the supposed "great" handicappers on pay sites revealed that nearly all of them lost (many getting killed on NFL this weekend). It was an odd week which cannot be explained (there is always at least one a year and this was the first this year). San Diego losing at home to Miami with the playoffs on the line? Carolina getting smoked at home by Tampa Bay when they are playing better than any other team in the NFC? Denver almost losing at home to Baltimore? These are ridiculous, but they happened.
To all those "anonymous" people that chime in only when things are going bad...I don't recall any posts when I hit my lock of the year with TCU and then me and Murdoch's consensus lock of the year with Tulsa...or when we gave you our next strongest play just two weekends ago with West Virginia...or when we went 4-0 on Turkey day...or when we won 8 of 9 earlier...nope, just when we hit our worst streak. To that I say screw you and if you don't want to bet our picks, then don't. To those who do want our opinion, I will still be releasing all my bowl games and I believe that Murdoch will also.
Now that we got screwed out of our money over by google and our advertisers for this site, we are considering a different format for PilotPicks (perhaps one where only certain people, the ones who aren't just here to bitch, get our picks). No final word on what format we will go for, but we will keep everyone posted.
I will release bowl games TONIGHT hopefully including my LOCK OF THE BOWL YEAR (injuries are playing a part and dont' want to release it until I am sure about them).

although i lost big this past weekend, i saw it as my fault because i couldn't manage my money. and gambling is never a sure thing, so shit happens. i usually make my picks first then i read your analysis, if i feel it's reasonable, then i will lock it, if not, i go with my guts. no one is forcing them to bet on your picks, so if they lose their money, it's their fault.
Guys please hang in there. I think you will be surprised on how many fans you have out there. I really enjoy your input and research you provide on this site. I look forward everyday looking on your site for your thoughts on the upcoming games. I agree with yumsta on his thoughts. You guys are not making these guys bet. They are losers with no commen sense and most likely have problems. I feel for people like that and hopefully they can seek help. Please .. please ... don't let a couple of bad apples ruin it for everyone. Thanks , Doug
