Now that the birdman has firmly established himself as officially "back" after going 5-1 over the weekend to continue my hotstreak, I will try my had at a little college BBall.
First, take Indiana -6 1/2 at Indiana State. Now, being that I was a Sycamore (among others) for a year, it should be difficult to wager against my boys. However, when the game is this lopsided, it makes things a lot easier. Indiana is loaded this year, with some predicting them as a dark horse for the national championship, and Indiana State is most certainly not. Yes, the Sycamores are undefeated, but you have to beat the likes of better teams that Central State, E. Illinois and Middle Tennessee State before that stat means anything (and they didn't really kill any of them). Indiana is 3-1 with their only loss being to Duke in a hard fought game which they were in until the end. I have been to games at Indiana State and believe me there is NO home court advantage even when the Hoosiers come calling. They will treat this as their National title game and that might keep it relatively close for the first half, but Indiana is too talented for this game to stay close...they pull away for a 15 point victory.
Indiana -6 1/2
For my second game, take KU -2 against St. Joseph's at Madison Square Garden. KU traveled to St. Joseph's last year and won by 40 (91-51). Now obviously, this is not the same KU team but they are getting better with each game and, like in the Indiana game above, they have too much size and talent to lose this game. St. Joseph's is a nice team, but they have no right being only a 2 point dog to a KU team that is stocked full of talent but short on experience. Ku gets it done with defense and points in the paint tonight. As a note, this is also a favorite of Dr. Moonlight, our college basketball insider. If he gets a chance, he will post some reasoning as well.
KU -2
Risk v. Reward Parley Special: I also parlayed those two games with Iowa +1 and Boston College -2. If you are in the mood for a little fun tonight, might want to consider it. Just a suggestion though, no guarantees.

stick to football birdman!
I think I might have to do a bit more research before I suggest any more college basketball games. Not a good showing last night. However, if KU would have shot better that 40% from the charity stripe, it would have been a 1-1 night. NO excuses, just pointing that out.
